Voted Off Reality Show Stage

Some reflections on the Trump Presidency:
As a business man, Trump saw an opportunity in 2016, to stand against an unpopular Democratic opponent: Hillary Clinton.
As an old hack of the Democratic establishment, and working for a President whose achievements were rather less than his stated objectives, she was ripe for getting dumped by disenchanted voters.
Trump, based on a lifetime of media experience, knew how to reach a lot of those voters who had begun to look at the self interested clique of so called "Progressives" with Democrat hats on, as their real enemies.
Another fatal mistake made by the Obama administration, which included Hillary from 2009 to 2013 as Secretary of State, was to alienate the Israeli administration under Prime Minister Netanyahu.
Thus, the Trump team secured the support of prominent Israelis and Jews in the US, whose financial fire power is considerable.
The result has been a fundamental shift in the US, as about half the population embraced the man who claimed to be their savior.
The strong man who could fix their problems.
And now his role as President of the United States is over.
So the question is: Will he return to the real estate business and watch his child and grandchildren grow into adults, or will he lead some kind of rebellion against the "Progressive" establishment?
I'm inclined to think that Trump will take the bitter medicine and hopefully enjoy his last years. He took a lot of crap and dished out his share of it. That is what makes American politics rather entertaining.
Almost like a reality show : )
