Good Place Not To Be

Wanna go to a hospital?
Listened to Danielle Smith on 770CHQR interviewing Dr. Sharma from the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton this morning.
He made the point that the hospital is relatively empty at this time having an outbreak of COVID, with Sharma being one of the staffers to catch the bug early on (now saying that he has recovered and is back to work)
This may very well be the pattern across Alberta, not because people are suddenly getting healthier, but because of knowing that hospitals are hot spots for bugs at the best of times, let alone during a pandemic.
The other interesting point made by Dr. Sharma was that those people that enter hospital at this time are generally sicker than what is commonly the case, confirming that people are reluctant to enter these institutions.
The demand on ICU beds is way up, compared to a normal flu season. (100 in ICU at this time)
Would I want to go to a hospital right now?
No more than going to a long term care facility.
